On September 11, 2026, Thien Son Industrial Joint Stock Company (Thien Son), in collaboration with Long Son Petrochemicals (LSP), has established a Community Volunteer Group with the aim of promoting corporate social responsibility, raising environmental awareness, and enhancing fire prevention and safety awareness among local communities.

The initiative is designed to build a volunteer force committed to supporting the community through practical activities focused on environmental protection, fire prevention, and creating a safer living environment.

Establishment of the Community Volunteer Group

The Community Volunteer Group brings together members from Thien Son, LSP, and the local community.

The volunteers will work together to conduct awareness campaigns, provide practical guidance, and encourage residents to take proactive measures to protect the environment, prevent fire risks, and contribute to building safer communities.

Under the spirit of “Every Individual Can Make a Difference – Together We Build a Safer Community,” the group aims to develop sustainable and meaningful community activities on a regular basis.

Promoting a “No Waste Burning” Message – Protecting Our Environment

One of the first activities of the Community Volunteer Group is to raise awareness among local residents about the negative impacts of uncontrolled waste burning.

Burning household waste, particularly plastic waste, can cause air pollution, affect public health, and increase the risk of fire spreading to surrounding areas.

Through direct community outreach, volunteers encourage residents to:

• Avoid burning waste indiscriminately.
• Do not burn waste in residential areas or near flammable materials.
• Collect and dispose of waste properly.
• Work together to maintain a clean, green, and safe living environment.

The message “No Waste Burning – No Smoke Pollution – Lower Fire Risk” is being promoted as a simple yet practical action to protect both the environment and the community.

Providing Fire Extinguishers – Promoting Proactive Fire Prevention

In addition to environmental awareness activities, the Community Volunteer Group also provides fire extinguishers to local households.

Providing basic fire-fighting equipment enables residents to respond more effectively to small fires at an early stage, helping prevent fire escalation and minimize potential damage.

Volunteers also provide basic guidance on fire prevention, encourage residents to identify potential fire hazards in their homes, and promote preparedness for emergency situations.

Working Together for a Safer and More Sustainable Community

The establishment of the Community Volunteer Group demonstrates Thien Son and LSP's commitment to supporting local communities not only through business activities, but also through initiatives related to environmental protection, fire prevention and social responsibility.

Thien Son believes that a safe and sustainable community is built through the collective efforts of individuals, families, businesses, and local stakeholders.

Through practical community initiatives, the Community Volunteer Group will continue to spread positive messages and encourage a culture of proactive prevention, collective action, and shared responsibility.
